Purpose and service matters
Mike Manhas, the organizer of the Sober Fest, understands the challenges individuals in recovery face while attending music festivals. After overcoming his struggles with addiction that lasted over 20 years, he found it challenging to be in the presence of beer tents and drug use at music festivals.
Observing that most festivals revolve around beer tents and drug use, he wanted to create a safe and fun environment where people in recovery could come together and celebrate their journey toward sobriety. Sober Fest aims to provide an alcohol and drug-free atmosphere where individuals can connect with like-minded individuals who understand their struggles and triumphs.
Sober Fest is a testament to Mike's commitment to helping others in their journey toward recovery. His vision for the festival is to provide a space where individuals can experience the joy and thrill of live music and comedy without the influence of alcohol and drugs. By creating such an event, Mike hopes to inspire others to support recovery efforts and raise awareness about the importance of providing safe and supportive environments for individuals in recovery.

As a recently established non-profit, our focus is on meeting individuals struggling with addiction where they currently are and providing them with the necessary support to move toward recovery. Our goal is to empower individuals to rebuild their lives with the help of their families, communities, and organizations dedicated to providing the recovery-based solutions they deserve.

The Rewired Recovery Foundation is dedicated to helping individuals struggling with addiction to achieve and maintain recovery. To support this mission, the foundation is hosting a festival that celebrates recovery while collecting donations to help send people to treatment. The foundation has teamed up with organizations such as TWC and Oak Wellness Centre to provide four treatment beds, followed by second-stage treatment, to individuals in need of assistance.
